George and Lola’s Place is located at 143 West Main Street in the middle of one of the outstanding resort communities in Idaho. The cabin is named in honor of George and Lola Tillotson Condie, both raised in Lava Hot Springs. George was a decorated WWII veteran and went on to be become a successful businessman in Boise, ID and Salt Lake City, Utah. And as an anniversary surprise, George purchased and remodeled the cabin for Lola and him to enjoy in their retirement years. The cabin was converted into a vacation rental when both were admitted to nursing homes. The Condies passed away within the last year, but their legacy and impact on the community remains. The large “L” lighted up on the mountain over looking Lava Hot Springs stands for ”LOLA”.
